The faintest ink is stronger than the fiercest memory
Hello, I'm Kevin. Welcome to a garden of my notes.
I use an open-source notetaking tool called trilium, a very cool notetaking app created by someone else. This page is the entrypoint the public facing parts of my notes.
Navigating this site
On this site you'll find various categories of notes I find worthwhile to share. Each note is a node in a tree with a parent note and/or child notes. The children of a note are shown at the bottom of each page (see Child notes:
). Alternatively, you can see each and every note as a tree on the left part of any page.

Why take notes like this?
Firstly, I enjoy sharing knowledge and having my voice heard.
Secondly, it's theraputic to write down my thoughts and read over them later. Ninety percent of my notes are private and not shared publicly. Everything seen on this page is the ten percent I've explicitly marked as public. So really, most of the reason I take notes is for my own sake.
I've kept some form of text-based digital notes spanning back to around 2013. I've tried various other methodologies (Notetaking Methods I've Tried), but trilium is the one for me, see Do I Like the Notetaking Program Trilium? (Yes). TLDR on why I like trilium: extremely hackable, functionality to make notes public, it's self-hosted, autosyncing, and more.
