Put rockbox, a free replacement firmware for digital music players, on it. Probably the best mp3 player. They haven't made them for a long time, though.
Reasons to like it:
- micro sd card slot
- rockbox support. this is key.
- good audio quality
- great form factor – it's small.
- lots of physical buttons
- a clip on the back
- color screen
Downsides:
- the battery can stop working
- the aux port can stop working
- the screen can break
- no bluetooth
