Use Low Profile Switches on Rectangle
What#
You should use low profile switches on your rectangle. Full-profile keyswitches are kind of hard to play melee on imo. Techniques like short hop can become hard for 3f jumpsquat characters like fox and sheik on high profile switches. This is becase it takes longer to "release" a button after it actuates on high profile.
- https://splitkb.com/products/kailh-low-profile-choc-switches?variant=47265452425563 I'd recommend the purples from here (Kailh Low Profile Choc Switches Purple). Note: I've tried the pinks and found them to bee too easy to accidentally press.
Why#
- decent, but long-winded overview on why you should use low profile https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUWWhkGgTak&t=494s. I think in the video he's talking about rubber dome key switches, which should also be low profile in this case. You don't have to use rubber dome necessarily, just low profile is my recommendation. Or mouseclick if you can somehow.
Keep in mind#
Key switches are not completely interchangable. You need to know what types of key switch your specific box / socket takes. Mine is Kalih choc v1s (Gram digital box). So don't just go and buy my switches without checking.
