Sleep Hygeine tips
My ideas to help me fall asleep at night. I'm generally a good sleeper, but I require less sleep than most people.
- a consistent sleep schedule is #1 important thing. sleeping/waking at consistent times matters even more than total hours slept imo.
- don't eat for ~3 hrs before you want to go to bed
- exercise at some point during the day
- avoid hanging out in your bed during the day, only go in your bed if you want to sleep (day naps ok).
- i use an eyemask every single night, my fav is https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KC5DWCC
- leave your phone in a diff room / far away from the bed when you sleep
- bonus points in the morning right when you wake up drink a bunch of water
